Spaldin is the first and only major line of mattresses in which ALL components (foam, cover, fire barrier) are certified by Oeko-tex 100 to contain no harmful chemicals. What does this mean? Each component has been independently tested and awarded Oeko-tex’s esteemed Class I certificate, which verifies that Spaldin mattresses are safe enough “for babies and small children”. This logo illustrates the international patent of Spaldin Tubes technology, awarded for its nature-inspired design and unique ability to dissipate heat and moisture through a “chimney effect”. Tubes foam components are manufactured in Europe via a mold cast process (the same process used in automotive or aeronautic industries), using the highest concentrations of plant oils technologically possible.
This logo represents our plant-based “open cell” viscoelastic foam. Thanks to its formulation, its transpiration capability (ability to dissipate moisture at up to 45 gallons/min), is at least twice as great as our best “open cell” competitor and up to four times better that the biggest brand competitor.
This logo represents our “High Resilience” plant-based foam. High Resilience foam is a technical foam. HR needs highly active polyols as raw materials, and specific crosslinkers that have to be weakly stabilized during manufacturing. The cool down and cure time of HR foam is longer than for standard foams. HR foams are characterized by elasticity, breathability, comfort and much higher density than regular foams.
