Spaldin is the first and only major line of mattresses in which ALL components (foam, cover, fire barrier) are certified by Oeko-tex 100 to contain no harmful chemicals.  What does this mean?  Each component has been independently tested and awarded Oeko-tex’s esteemed Class I certificate, which verifies that Spaldin mattresses are safe enough “for babies and small children”. Most of the Spaldin covers are made using organic cotton certified by the most respected name in organic certification, the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). GOTS certifies not only that our cotton has been grown organically, but also that the raw cotton fiber has been processed into a textile in an environmentally-friendly and socially-responsible manner. www.global-standard.org

Our bed frames are manufactured with PEFC-CERTIFIED wood. PEFC certified wood is verified as such according to the forestry source and its supply chain. The PEFC label ensures that the trees used come from certified and responsible sources. www.pefc.es

Businesses displaying the Green America Seal of Approval have successfully completed Green America's screening process and have been approved to be listed as a socially and environmentally responsible —or green—businesses. As a consumer, you can feel confident that business bearing this seal operate in ways that support workers, communities, and protect the environment.www.greenamerica.org

This logo represents our plant-based “open cell” viscoelastic foam. Thanks to its formulation, its transpiration capability (ability to dissipate moisture at up to 45 gallons/min), is at least twice as great as our best “open cell” competitor and up to four times better that the biggest brand competitor.

This logo represents our “High Resilience” plant-based foam. High Resilience foam is a technical foam. HR needs highly active polyols as raw materials, and specific crosslinkers that have to be weakly stabilized during manufacturing. The cool down and cure time of HR foam is longer than for standard foams. HR foams are characterized by elasticity, breathability, comfort and much higher density than regular foams.

Bamboo material is created from natural materials, with bamboo fibres extracted from the Bambusoideae plant, the name given to the subfamily of plants which belong to the Gramineae or Poaceae family. This fabric is totally biodegradable, strong and very breathable with antibacterial and antifungal properties.

The system of steel inner-spring pocketed coils means they can be moved independently to provide optimum moldability and flexibility to the mattress. This makes each part of the mattress work completely differently with each part of your body, for perfect independence when sharing a bed.

This product contains cotton. Cotton is a natural material produced by cotton plants belonging to the genus Gossypium, with around 40 species of bushes of the Malvaceae family. The leaves are broad and have three to five lobes (sometimes even seven). The seeds are contained within a capsule called a ‘boll’ and each one is surrounded by a hairy fibre called the staple or linter. These are produced naturally in white, brown and green colours. Characteristics of cotton are its softness (it is the most significant softest fibre in the world), lightness, coolness and pleasant feel. It is an absorbent material which allows the skin to breathe.

This product contains natural wool. Wool is a natural fibre obtained from sheep and other animals such as llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, goats and rabbits through shearing. The wool is mainly used in colder areas as it helps maintain body heat due to the nature of the fibres. Its main characteristics are its strength, elasticity, hygroscopicity (wool is the natural fibre which absorbs the most moisture) and its flexibility.

Soyamboo is a material which uses soy and bamboo cellulose as ingredients. This material is used in many of our pillows because of its natural hygienic properties.

Tactel is a fabric created from special polyamide microfibres which are extremely fine. It is characterised for being especially suitable for sensitive skin, breathable and able to regulate moisture.

The test carried out according to the ISO standard: ISO 4638 determines the degree of air flow permeability of flexible materials and certifies the actual transpiration of the tested materials in comparison with other materials available in the market.

The test carried out determines the amount of heat required to increase the temperature of a material by 1ºC and the actual ability of a material to keep cool over time, in comparison with other materials available in the market.

Latex is obtained from the sap extracted from the tropical Hevea Brasiliensis tree, or the rubber tree. It is a natural, renewable, breathable and biodegradable material with natural antibacterial and antifungal properties, given that it is not a hospitable surface for the growth of these organisms.
